As one of the many impressive players in FIFA World Cup Quarter Finalists Croatia’ team, Ante Rebic has caught the eye. His ferocious running style and electric pace allied to his tactical fluency and his quality in front of gaol which has become apparent this season has introduced many interested parties.
Rebic, who scored that tremendous goal against Argentina, has been a standout at the World Cup. His key chance which led to the penalty miss from Luka Modric was among the moments of the World Cup, too. According to The Daily Mirror, these exploits have seen both Everton and Tottenham Hotspur join a growing list of interested parties in the ex-Fiorentina man.
Having found a home under Niko Kovac who is now set to leave Frankfurt, a quick exit from the 2018 DFB Pokal winners could take place. His stunning performances so far will draw attention from many directions, and both English and other German sides will be likely to see how hard they can push for a move.
With every game so far, though, Rebic has seen his value surge: another impressive performance against France could make him a genuine hot property. For now, though, all talk of Rebic making his way to the Premier League may be premature.
Frankfurt cannot see a major exodus if they wish to build on their position, and thus it would be a surprise to see such a huge and extensive number of players move on – Rebic included. For clubs in short supply of hungry and goal-laden wide forwards, though, the Croat will be a very interesting option.
