When Jadon Sancho moved from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund, he became the first Englishman to wear the black and yellow. Close to two years on, it’s safe to say the move has been a good one for the youngster. Having broken into the England squad, and remaining at a high level of performance despite Dortmund dropping off dramatically, Sancho has made the most of every moment in Dortmund. So much so that a return to England could already be on the cards.

While under no pressure or need to sell, talk of a €100m return to Manchester is already afoot. However, this time, it would be the Red Devils of Manchester United. Sancho is a player who would cost a huge sum of money, but a return to the top of English football could appeal – especially if BVB miss out on a title that, for some time, looked possible.

Sancho, though, appears to have whet the appetite of the Schwarzgelben management. Talk is that Michael Zorc and co. are looking at Chelsea wantaway starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi. Linked with both Dortmund and Bayern, he could be the Sancho replacement if the summer exit happens.

Internally, though, Dortmund are determined to keep him around until 2020. If they are forced into a sale, though, the newest call-up to the England senior national side could be his replacement. Despite barely playing for Chelsea so far outside of the cups, Hudson-Odoi is a prodigious talent.

If the opportunity comes to leave for Dortmund, all indications are that he would take it. However, with the shadow of Bayern Munich still lingering in the distance, there is no definitive answer about who he would choose. For Dortmund, though, a new era of British signings could be about to take place – with Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney also linked in recent weeks.
